THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN 2
Following the highly successful The Amazing Spider-Man, it's unsurprising to see our favourite vigilante back in action. Director Marc Webb has confirmed his return to the franchise, as have Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Sally Field. There's no word on the return of Rhys Ifans as Dr Curt Connors after the first film's rather open-ended finale.
Having recently been cast as the villain in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Jamie Foxx has dropped a couple of tidbits about playing Maxwell Dillon, better known to comic-book fans as Electro. In the process he gained super powers when he was struck by lightning. The unusually configured magnetic field generated by the wound spool of cable and live, high-tension wires induced a body-wide mutagenic change to his nervous system. Dillon found himself transformed into a living electrical capacitor, powered by the micro-fine rhythmic muscle contractions that normally regulate body temperature.
"Electro costum won’t be green and yellow. They want to try new things, like a liquid rubber and things like that. The suit is really slick, it’s actually black, but it’s the new age." Said Foxx
